Dubai Summit Offers Detailed Look at Anti-Corruption in EMEA

Duxes hosted the 4th Anti-Corruption Compliance EMEA Summit 2018 on November 14-15 in Dubai. The event featured significant testimony from policymakers, legal experts, compliance officers, and representatives of NGOs, shedding light on the developing anti-corruption environment in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

During the two-day summit, speakers and panelists delved into third-party due diligence, fraud risk, proper procedures in the event of a dawn raid, and optimal compliance strategies. Further content addressed changes to anti-corruption law in Egypt and the UAE, implications of the ISO 37001 anti-bribery management system, reforms to deferred prosecution agreements in the UK, as well as the intricacies of internal auditing and internal investigations. Notably, a penal of representatives from leading financial institutions, law and consulting firms, discussed the anti-corruption environment in the Middle East, providing insight on significant developments in recent years.

The 4th Anti-Corruption Compliance EMEA Summit 2018 succeeded in its goal of educating the public on anti-corruption developments, and optimal compliance practices.
